Celebrity Shoe Sightings - 2009 BET

Yesterday evening, the 2009 BET Awards hosted by Jamie Foxx were held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. Though there were many emotional moments throughout the show, including the grand tribute to Michael Jackson, the ‘09 BET Awards hosted various celebrities that were spotted wearing the hottest sneakers currently available. The celebrities ranged from professional athletes such as Ron Artest and Carmelo Anthony to up and coming artists such as the New Boys. Other individuals found in this edition of Celebrity Shoe Sightings include Kanye West, Gibbs, Bobb’e J. Thompson, Soula Boy, and more. Neon Electric Shoe “Futuristic Co

This neon shoe was made with a 3D printer, Its design features urban Japanese icons as well as city names in honor of the Asics sub-brand Onitsuka Tiger. Modeled after the city of Tokyo, the 1-meter (~3 foot) long featured the neon skyline, congested highways, and teeming rolls of signages. The sculpture also paid homage to Japanese sub-culture, such as Godzilla, with its inclusion. LED lights and neon band further assist in the sculpture’s completion. Totally 21st Century! This could pose a challenge to the all shoe industry players to take this futuristic concept to a reality. Or just may be there are big shoe companies already cooking up something similar to this cool idea. Just Can’t wait to see that happen. close

Nike Air Max 1 OG at Shoe Gallery

The Nike Air Max 1 “OG� colorway came and went online in a matter of a few minutes at NikeStore.com, but Miami heads have one more hope for the weekend. Shoe Gallery in downtown Miami will be releasing this historic sneaker tomorrow, July 4th. Thinking of passing on these? Kobe Bryant in Air Jordans & More -

After completing a 6-year shoe deal with Adidas, Kobe signed a big contract with Nike just days before his Colorado legal troubles went public. As a result, Nike held off for awhile on a signature shoe, and in the meantime, Kobe was usually seen wearing the shoes of the legend that he was frequently accused of trying to imitate. Opinions differ on that debate, but who could blame him for wanting to rock some Air Jordans. As you’ll see after the jump, Kobe sported a bunch of different Air Jordans, mostly during the 2003-2004 season. Some versions are OG colorways, but many have been personalized with Lakers color schemes.In addition to the Jordans, Kobe can also be seen wearing some Air Force 1’s, two different pairs of Allen Iverson’s signature Reebok Answer kicks and the white/purple/gold Converse Weapons that Magic Johnson made legendary during the Showtime Laker days. We’re not positive on the time frame for some of these photos, but it’s safe to assume that most are from the period between leaving Adidas and when his first signature Nike model was introduced. The glitzy men of Hollywood love their PF Flyers. Posture Foundation classics like the Cousy Hi, Albin, and Windjammer can be dressed up with layers or work with a more subdued fit. Celebrated funnyman Will Ferrell might have struck out with “The Land of The Lost�, but hits one to the fences in a pair of blue canvas Cousy Lo. After the jump you’ll see Chace Crawford from “Gossip Girls� and actors Ryan Reynolds and James Marsden in the Cousy Reissue Series, too. “Transformers� frontman Shia LaBeouf stays in PF’s Number 5 model on the daily.Nate Archibald (for those in the know) pairs white canvas Cousy Lo tops with grey denim and a unique flannel coat.Marsden cools out in white canvas Cousys and a grey v-neck.
