Nike SB P-Rod III + 2.5 – Upcomin

24 Kilates x Reebok Pump – 20th A

The cat’s out the bag and now previews just keep coming out of the woodworks.  Adding to the list of publicly seen Pump20’s now is Barcelona’s 24 Kilates.  For this installation, 24Kts wanted to stay fairly true to one of it’s original colorway, respecting the past and showing admiration for its inventiveness of its time.  But what may seem rather unimpressive to Pump fans because of it’s simple “general�colorway, they certainly make up by knowing how to add some innovative touches of their own.  Found on certain parts of the upper, as well as the tongue are translucent plastic paneling to reveal the actual Pump air cushioning technology.  Accented in orange, white and grey, this feature is sure to be quite interesting to watch while incessantly pumping the tongue.  As you may know, these Pump20 will be very limited (31 pairs to be exact) and only available at 24Kilates on November 20th.Read the rest of 24 Kilates x Reebok Pump – 20th Anniversary Collection© Sneaker News, 2009. |Permalink |No comment |Add todel.icio.us close

24 Kilates x Reebok Pump

Next up in the ever-growing list of Reebok Pump collaborations is this pair from Spanish shop 24 Kilates. At first glance it appears that the retailer’s design team did nothing at all to a pair of original black Pumps, but further investigation will show that this sneaker pays tribute while still moving forward with its design.Rather than opt for black leather, the uppers are made with suede, keeping the look of the original in tact. Transparent material was used in places to show off the inner pump bubbles running throughout, creating a “windowâ€� into the inner-workings of the Pump system. According to Pol Fanlo, “24 KILATESâ€â„¢ main objective is to make an act of respect and admiration to a system that represented a revolution in the sneaker world. Respecting the original colours and showing the system to everyone to admire, a tribute with sense.â€�Like the other collaborations we’ve seen, 31 individually-numbered pairs will be available on November 20th at the 24 Kilates store. One of the simplest shoes from the collection the sneakers feature a black upper with a white sole and an orange pump, text, and tag. close
