Takashi Kumagai x Keds - Leopard Av

Here’s something to perk PETA’s ears. Famed designer Takashi Kumagai of Quicksilver fame recently collaborated with Keds on these cool faux fur vulc’s. The Leopard Aviation line features the simple lace up silhouette that the brand is known for juxtaposed with cheetah and leopard print and one in basic black. The textured textiles are atop a black vulcanized sole with the blue Keds seal of approval at the heel. Via Adam et Rope. close

VOT By Takashi Kumagai x Keds - Leo

Known for his keen sense for patterns and colors, Japanese designer Takashi Kumagai has helped reconstitute new theme, many times in flamboyant styles, for labels such as Quiksilver and PORTER by YOSHIDA & CO.  Most recently, the designer took on a new project, this time with footwear label Keds, in creating a capsule collection of sneakers. In ways to question long held view of Keds as white  canvas sneakers, Kumagai devised a series of 3 editions.  All constructed from lush coat of faux fur, each of  the 3 editions mimic true dotted patterns from the leopard subspecies, including the all black or commonly known as the black panther.  To compliment the design, each edition is then outfitted with black laces and midsole. Supreme - Book Vol. 5 - Leopard Tow

While Terry Richardson’s scandalously provocative shots of model Rosa Acosta might be the highlight for many who managed to get their hands on Supreme’s Book Vol. 5 which features its Autumn/Winter 2009 collection, there are other aspects of the book that are highly covetable and happily surprising. Check the leopard towel with large “Supreme� logo printed across it (because everyone can use some sexy animal print linen in their bathrooms) and the special Mickey stickers (recall the Supreme X Disney collaboration). The book is already available for purchase both in store and online. So, grab yours, hang up the towel, deface some household items with Disney’s favorite and do remember to go through Supreme’s features on Wu-Tang’s The RZA, Eric Koston, Diddy, Damien Hirst… and not just stop after perusing all of Acosta’s barely-there-bikini shots. Supreme - Leopard Skateboard & Crui

Supreme has released two new Leopard Skateboard and Cruiser decks at select Supreme locations and retailers. The Leopard print skate deck comes in one traditional leopard print colorway of Yellow and Orange in addition to a more unconventional colorway of Blue and Gray, the decks feature the Supreme box logo written horizontally across them. In addition to the traditional skate decks Supreme has also used this Leopard print on two old school cruiser decks in the same colorways.
