Nike Air Pegasus ‘89 ND - Black -

The Air Pegasus ‘89 has recently made a nice comeback after returning in a bunch of original colorways, but as much as people love the OG styles, it’s about time that Nike introduced some new color schemes as well. This Air Pegasus ‘89 ND definitely answers the call, giving the classic shoe its boldest look yet. These kicks feature a variety of colors and materials on the upper, using a traditional suede and mesh combo, but introducing some wild color and patterns to the design. The shoe sports a Black base with Glass Blue and Volt highlights and a contrasting White Swoosh. Perhaps the most notable touch is the letter jumble graphic pattern that appears on several sections of the upper. The story of the MY-23, in the words of its designer and longtime PUMA collaborator, Yasuhiro Mihara:“Here, it looks like a splash. You’re stepping through the water and have a splash on your shoes. The theme was ‘While people ran away from a zombie.’ At midnight, you see the horror movie on TV and people and screaming and sweating to run away. When you change the channel, at nighttime, you have the shopping channel, and there, people are exercising vigorously. So I got the inspiration from those two TV programs together. They are the theme of the design.� close

words & images_Nick DePaulaJordan Brand has been releasing a wide range of products for quite some time now, covering everything from performance to Retro to lifestyle, and if Fusions aren’t quite your thing, the new Campus Chukka carries with it a more understated and subdued appearance perfect for any casual setting. Designed by Jordan Brand Design Director D’Wayne Edwards, the Chukka will be dropping this Saturday at select boutiques nationwide, and it features a rich textured black suede upper, hidden ghilley lacing setup, padded full grain leather insole and a traditional vulcanized construction that we haven’t seen too often from Jordan Brand. Notice also the two vent holes along the lateral side and three vent holes along the medial side — pretty subtle branding indeed.  Retailing at $110, there’s a premium fortunately placed on premium materials, and this Black/White colorway will be first to drop, with Light Chocolate and Sail versions to come in August. Watch out for the release of Adidas Originals by Original Kazuki Fall/Winter collection - Campus 80s. The sneaks sports some minor detailing such as pull-tab on the heel and tongue, as well as a brilliant suede blue upper with white stitching, lining and out/midsoles.
