If you checked out the Santoni x Mercedes SLS AMG Driving Shoes I posted a few days ago you may recall how I said I’m a big car guy, and like my driving/racing shoes just as much as I like my Jordans, Dunks and AF1’s. I’m sure we don’t have a large following of readers who are into racing or driving shoes, but after talking to some of you on Twitter I know there’s defiantly quite a few people out who are into F1, WRC and DTM. If you fall into that category, this ones for you.Puma has been producing driving/racing shoes for quite a number of years now and as anybody who is into racing knows, Puma’s are defiantly one of the most preferred choices among racers. Proving this is an ongoing series between Puma and the Red Bull F1 Racing Team. The duo has already released a number of special edition Puma models together such as a variety of Speed Cats (my personal favorite), an Urban Racer and this Speed Cat 2.9. For this special Red Bull F1 Racing Team edition of the Speed Cat 2.9 Puma produced the sneakers with a black base and strong blue accents on the heel. Racing shoes don’t exactly have the widest lane of supporters but design wise the models definitely have a distinctive look. The appeal lies in the sporty yet casual feel of the shoe and while its not considered the most active sport they mean as much to the game as high tops do to basketball.This Puma Speed Cat 2.9 was designed for the Red Bull Racing team and it bears the resemblance of the popular energy drink in color and logo. The bull and the cat both share the same space in alternating places on the shoes leather and plastic upper. If anything these look comfortable but if you are interested in them it may require a little legwork to get your hands on a pair. If you are into racing, you may find racing or driving shoes as one of your obsessions. Such thing can make a good hobby though and since Puma has been producing one of the most reliable racing shoes, a special Red Bull F1 Racing Team edition of the Speed Cat 2.9 is now up. The sneaker features a Black leather base with cupping Blue material on the heel. It owns a Black nylon side panel and tongue with the Red Bull logo. Other logos such as the Puma Cat is found on the midsole forefoot while the Red Bull tab and graphics mount on the Blue area. Red accent comes along as strip on the midsole and few pairs of eyelets. The Puma Speed Cat 2.9 Red Bull Racing was complimented with a White sole and White shoe laces. Puma Speed Cat 2.9 Mid RBR

Red Bull Racing recently collaborated with Puma on a new version of their Speedcat 2.9 Mid. Dubbed the RBR model [for obvious reasons], the kicks are a mix of retro motorsport aesthetic as well as a futuristic take on driving shoes. Using navy blue and black on the upper, we see a prominent Red Bull logo on the wing, leading back to the heel. To keep in line with the branding, spots of yellow and red are seen as well, on the wing as well as the pin stripe on the sole.
