German sportswear brand Puma continues their ongoing work with Japanese designer Mihara Yasuhiro to create a bold collection of high-tops for the tail end seasons of 2009. The collection features models utilizing the rarely mixed prints of polka dot and animal skin, along with some more basic color blocked sneakers. PUMA X Alexander McQueen - Autumn/W

With a new season of collaboration inspired by boxing, the Autumn/Winter 2009 collection of Puma X Alexander McQueen is very much about power as represented by the rivalry between Tiger and Crane. Among the solid collection of footwear and apparel is a reappearance of Ribcage Sport in a new colorway. Or should we say, new colorways, as the TPU “ribcage� overlay (inspired by the human ribcage) changes color when exposed to UV light. With a commercial running silhouette and a 3D My Left Foot insert and high frequency welded tendon mesh upper, the kicks are comfortable and anatomically friendly in all manners of interpretation. visvim Fall Winter 2009 Puma Pack

A rather unusual collection coming from this brand known for subtlety and underrated-ness, visvim shows a bolder and edgier side of the brand with the Puma Pack collection. Intended for the Fall/Winter collection, the shoes were released in Tokyo’s Vogue Nippon x Comme de Garcons Magazine Alive pop-up retail space.  It includes the mid-cut shoe Bueys Trekker and the Hockney Folk, both of which offer two colorways. In both models, the puma pattern all over the upper became the distinct element that made this model seasons away from the past collection.If you are feeling bold this season, get yourself a pair but you have to travel to Tokyo for that. close
