PUMA - Giant Easy Rider III (3)

Back in January of this year, a mysterious package from PUMA arrived at doorsteps of several “key influencers� of the industry, including us here at Freshness.  It was none other than a Giant PUMA Clyde, all US Size 45 of it, as a fun novelty gift for the New Year.  Just last week, another mysterious package from PUMA arrived.  It yielded another Giant, this time, its the PUMA Easy Rider III.  Announced in 1978 and arrived in the marketplace in 1979, the Easy Rider, along with the PUMA Fast Runner, were among the first major entries into the running footwear category for PUMA.  Its “spring struts� outsole and extended backsole design allows runners to maximize their natural running motions.  When the distance running craze tapered off in the mid-80s, Easy Rider III, like the Clyde, became a favorite among urban trendsetters.  Celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, PUMA created a limited number of the Giant Easy Rider III.  Each constructed from the same identical materials of leather and suede as its “normal� counterpart. Puma Sky III Low Women’s – Whit

Since the Puma Sky II Hi was met with success, Puma has released its latest model, the Puma Sky III in a women’s lowtop. This particular pair is featured in a white/blue mist/black colorway, utilizing a patent leather upper in various colors such as grey, blue mist, and pink. “SKYIII� is printed in an outline of yellow on the black suede panel. The white midsole sports the Puma logo next to “contact.� The Sky III promises to be another popular choice, and is available now on the Puma Australia website. Via SF. close

Puma Sky III (Women’s)

This one is for the ladies. Puma releases it’s new Sky model - Puma Sky III, following the success of Puma Sky II Hi. This cute pair of kicks comes in grey/black/white/mist blue colorway. Made of patent leather upper and suede panels, it also features Sky III logo on the side panel and pink color accents. Available at Puma’s eshop for $130 AUD, approximately $111.4 USD. close

The story of the MY-23, in the words of its designer and longtime PUMA collaborator, Yasuhiro Mihara:“Here, it looks like a splash. You’re stepping through the water and have a splash on your shoes. The theme was ‘While people ran away from a zombie.’ At midnight, you see the horror movie on TV and people and screaming and sweating to run away. When you change the channel, at nighttime, you have the shopping channel, and there, people are exercising vigorously. So I got the inspiration from those two TV programs together. They are the theme of the design.� close

Air Jordan VIII Retro – Joe Johns

Not a huge Atlanta Hawks fan but i would sure love a pair of these in my closet and im sure most of you sneakerheads want the same. Since the Hawks redesigned their logo and team colours a couple years back, this Joe Johnson PE of the Air Jordan VIII do the red, white and blue trick quite nicely. These also have a healthy helping of grey around the ankle and heel area to add balance.  As with the other crazy PEs we’ve seen today. These place a hefty price tag but you can pick them up at eBay. close
