New York Mets x Pro-Keds 69er Uptow

The New York Mets and their fans are presently in the midst of a frustrating injury-plagued season, but luckily, Pro-Keds is doing their part to boost morale with the release of a super-limited collaboration sneaker. The Pro-Keds 69er Uptowner is about as classic as it gets, once gracing the feet of many of the NBA’s all-time greats, and now the shoe will pay tribute to another group of legendary 69ers, the 1969 Miracle Mets. In a nod to better Mets days, Pro-Keds has partnered with the team to create a 69er Uptowner inspired by the Mets’ royal blue/orange color scheme.The shoe features a black suede upper with royal and orange stripes lining the midsole and the edge of the toe cap. With the Mets’ colors already in place, the cherry on top comes by way of the “1969″ stitching that graces the heel strip. Fittingly, there will only be 69 pairs produced, with 48 being released to the public and the rest going to NY Mets friends and family. At the beginning of February, we showed you the Pro-Keds Nubuck Royal Low â€Å"NBAâ€Â� Lineup, and the majority of you really liked its simplicity. However, Pro-Keds now switches its inspirations from the orange leather to the white, stitched ball.Using the 69ers Uptowner Lo, one of its most-recognized models, Pro-Keds designed a sneaker inspired by the New York Mets. It features a 100% black suede base with orange and blue accents that appear throughout the silouhette. The sole and the toe cap also incorporate a blue and orange line border giving this shoe an identical color scheme to the New York Mets. The numbers, 1969 are placed on the heel panel in representation of the ballclub’s first World Series title. In addition, 69 pairs were created with 48 being released to the public. Limited editions are always so cool because you know when they are gone they are gone and the wearer has their own slice of sneaker history. Adding to that we have Pro-Keds dropping a NY Mets inspired 69ers Uptowner Lo. The black suede upper is given blue and orange ribbing and a 1969 heel embroidering to commemorate the teams first world series. Patta x Pro-Keds Royal Low/Hi Colle

I dont know but it looks like the team from Patta is trying to give the collaboration king Hikmet from Solebox a run for his money when it comes to the list of projects they have collaborated on. We just look a look at the Patta x Nike Sportswear Air Max 1 Sample and already we have some shots of another collabo from Patta, this time one which will actually be releasing.The latest project consists of a collaboration with Pro-Keds on the Royal Low and Royal Hi. There fresh all white sneakers feature a premium pebbled leather upper matched with a natural gum sole. Patta in stitched across the tongue in tonal embroidery. Each pair will come in a white heavy duty grocery/milk bag which includes accents of tan leather to match the gum sole on the shoes.An official release is set for this coming Saturday, July 25th at Patta, while other select retailers will see a release within the first week of August 2009. Solebox and Pro-Keds link up with Rimowa to take the term sneakerbox to a whole new level. As well known for its luggage as Pro-Keds are for its shoes Rimowa has produced a special edition Trolley case and Pro-Keds threw in a pair of canvas kicks to boot. The clear case reveals everything that you are carrying making Homeland Security’s job that much easier and putting you on full blast so pack carefully.
