Nike Air 3 “Kevin Garnett”

Last year Kevin Garnett said in an interview that being on the cover of NBA 2K9 was more special that having signature shoes. While it may be a toss up which is better, one thing is for certain, KG had some pretty decent sneakers during his career - especially with Nike.  (see feature)Nike and Garnett are no longer, but that doesn’t mean that the shoes he wore will not return. Coming in October is the Nike Air 3 which is pretty much the Nike Air Garnett III minus any KG branding. This colorup is probably the most recognizable of the model and was worn by Garnett during his days with the Timberwolves. Nike Air Pippen Hybrid

It is safe to say the Nike 1/2 Cent is the best Nike Basketball hybrid we have seen ever. The original colorway was undoubtedly one of the highly anticipated sneakers of this year. Now, Nike closes the Penny Hardaway signature sneaker chapter for now and focuses on Scottie Pippen’s signature line.At a first glance, this Scottie Pippen hybrid does not hold a torch to the aforementioned Penny Hardaway hybrid or any other hybrid we have seen. Obviously, it most revealing feature is the enlarged ‘AIR‘ on the side which is most notably recognized on the Nike Air More Tempo. In addition, its sole reminds many of the Nike Air Pippen II. We all understand that Nike is trying to honor some of the better signature shoe lines; however, is this yet-to-be-named hybrid really a tribute to Scottie or was this made in honor of Pippen’s days with the Rockets and Trail Blazers? Nike Air Max A Lot - Pippen Hybrid

The hybrid fun keeps rolling right along for the Summer 2010 Nike Basketball line. The Nike Air Max A Lot pays homage to the Scottie Pippen era by fusing characteristics of the Air Pippen II and Air More Uptempo into one shoe. The blending of the two styles is then updated a little with a slightly more updated look, giving it a more current streamlined appearance. So far, five colorways are slated for a Summer 2010 release, some drawing inspiration from the old models and others going with an all new look. Nike Air Pippen I – Summer 2010 R

Looks like the very first colorway of the Nike Air Pippen I to grace Scottie’s feet will finally be seeing a new release after spending over a decade under lock and key in the Nike vault. Along with the White/Black/Silver model, a never before seen Citrus/White colorway will accompany the iconic sneaker to the storefronts of Nike retailers. Rumor has it that this may be the last Air Pippen I retro we’ll see for a while, so you might what a grab a pair when they drop next summer.Via NikeTalk close

Nike Air Pippen Hybrid

The hybrid trend has been on the rise lately and with popular designs like the Nike 1/2 Cent taking off you can best believe Nike is going to rework previously released classics to try and come up with another jumpoff like the 1/2 Cent.Their latest hybrid design fuses the signature sneakers of Scottie Pippen who during his days had popular sellers with the Nike Air More Uptempo and the Nike Air Pippen and Air Pippen II. The sneakers carry design elements taken from both the Air More Uptempo and the Air Pippen II. The Pippen II resemblance can be noticed in the sole unit and the enlarged “AIR” branding printed across the side of the upper is obviously taken from the Air More Uptempo.At this time no official release date has been announced for this Nike Air Pippen Hybrid but we do know they will not be releasing until next year.
