Nike Air Griffey Max GD II Returns

Unless you sneakerheads lived under a rock this year, you inevitably came across one of the Nike Air Griffey Max 1’s that produced quite a stir and answered many of your prayers. I, myself, don’t mind waiting another summer to have mine answered. In the summer of 2010 Nike will retro the Nike Air Griffey Max GD II i fell in love with when it first came out nearly ten years ago. I still rock my White-Black/Red pair- rocking them last on July 4th as we celebrated the US’s independence day. Slated to release next summer are two colorways: one with a predominantly black base that also sports red accents and one with a predominantly white base that sports subtle black and grey accents. Nike - Air Griffey Max - GDII -Retr

The Swingman line is a welcome addition to Nike’s retro models. We’ve seen the great success of the Griffey Max 1 and with the recent release of the Swingman Remix, it seems that Nike is willing to pull some more Griffey shoes out of the vaults for re-release. Next up in summer 2010 is the Griffey Max Gd II, which was originally released about a decade ago. The air max unit is visible throughout the whole sole of the shoe, and the color schemes are rather straightforward, with a dominant white or black highlighted by the large window of horizontal lines on the upper and the small swoosh on the heel and toe. The signature Griffey swingman logo appears on the tongue and sole. Nike Air Griffey Max GD II Retro -

With the the much success Nike has had with the Air Griffey Max 1 Retro and the Air Griffey Swingman Remix they have decided to bring back another signature signature worn by Junior, the Air Griffey Max GD II.The Air Griffey Max GD II was originally released back in 2002 and come next year in 2010 the retro version will be making its appearance. So far we know for a fact there will be atleast two colorways of the sneakers releasing, a white/silver black version and a black/red version.
