Nike Zoom Speed Low - Spring 2010

Nike Lunarlite Woven Chukka

It is safe to say Nike plans on being innovative for 2010. After showing you the high-tech Nike Air Max BW Gen II yesterday, we have spotted another unique makep for next year dubbed the Nike Lunarlite Woven Chukka.In one of the more original looks seen this year, Nike takes the woven, Chukka-style base and places on top of the ever-so-popular Lunar foam sole. This particular hybrid can be classified as anything but seasonal. We usually see the Lunarlite releases in the summer; however, the Chukka style always seems to find its way to the retailers in the fall/winter season. Ironically, this Nike Lunarlite Woven Chukka will hit retailers during the spring of 2010. Nike Lunarlite Woven Chukka – Spr

As technological innovations present themselves, its inevitable that our favorite shoe styles growing up become obselete or get a new makeover. For the sake of preserving a well-established sports culture, Nike has chosen the latter of the two. We appreciate Nike trying to give new life to some of these classics, but unfortunately now some look too athletic rather than sports casual. This pair, however, turned out to be a very successful mesh of old and new. The Nike Woven Footscape Chukka, not reaching mainstream popularity like other Nike’s but a beloved style to those in the know, gets a foundational upgrade with a Lunar midsole. Joining an upper, with such a primitive look influenced by some of the first foot protection people ever made, to an aerospace industrial structure probably never looked so good. Don’t expect these to pop up on shelves soon, though. Keep posted for future info. Nike Lunarlite Woven Chukka

words_Nick EngvallAfter finding  popularity in Japan, the Nike Air Woven made its US debut around the turn of the century. The unique style did very well. While the Air Woven has seen numerous releases and re-releases in the last ten years, the influence of the Air Woven has spread across Nike in many forms, even finding its way onto some of the Nike owned Cole Haan dress shoe line. The latest creation of the Woven history line is the new Nike Lunarlite Woven Chukka.Nike takes the popular, and lightweight, Lunar sole from the creative cabinet of Nike Sportswear, and combines it with a timeless shoe style, the chukka. Aside from the heel panel and eyestay, the uppers feature a completely black finish which features the woven fabric that gives the shoe its nam, while the thin and minimalistic approach with the laces is concurrent with traditional chukka styling. Nike Lunarlite Rejuven8 Mid – Spr

We just showed how Nike is nicely matching together classics with their new Lunar Foam soles. But just in case it wasn’t impressive enough, or for those who aren’t down with the weave, here’s another variation. The Rejuven8, not too long ago considered avant-garde, gets even more rejuvenation with a Lunar Lite sole. The color choices don’t make them too sportsy, not to mention the mid-cut adds to a casual chukka look.
