Luxury Sneakers Vol. 1: Diamond Stu

Diamonds are everywhere. There’s the diamond iPod, diamond bikini, diamond bag and now a pair of diamond studded sneakers. Presenting The Nike Air Force One â€Å"So Calsâ€Â� made by Atlanta’s Laced Up boutique as part of a new service called Solitaire Kicks. The service is offered by Laced Up with the help of Prriya & Chintans Couture and Jewelry, who provide fashion consultation to customers when customizing their shoes with yellow, blue or white diamonds as well as silver and gold. The â€Å"So Calsâ€Â� are adorned with 11 carat diamonds framing the Nike logo. No worries about the diamonds falling out when shooting some hoops for the gems are affixed to the shoes by fine gold stitching.The first pair, worth an estimated $50,000 was given to rapper Big Boi at the launch party for Solitaire Kicks. Is this still the most expensive sneaker to date? I won’t be surprise if another sneaker will come out soon that will break this record. close

We recently saw the Alligator Janoski samples a few days ago, now there are pics out of what seem to be a tribute to Nike SB Diamond Dunk Low. There is not much info on these yet, we’ll keep you posted as more info arrives.. close

Nike is notorious for digging deep into their vault and pulling out OG’s when we least expect it, as is this case here. We just wanted to let you guys know that Nike will re-release the Nike Air Diamond Turf in 2010.Originally endorsed by Dieon Sanders, they were his first signature shoe back in 1993. They were released again back in 2004, but for those of you who weren’t able to get your hands on a pair, this may be your chance! Here again is another unexpected sneaker from Nike. We heard you say “Again?â€� but we are willing to pretend we did not hear that considering how the brand keeps on coming up with unexpected OGs.The Nike Air Diamond Turf was first seen in 1993 as the first signature sneaker of Dieon Sanders. If you are not among those who successful got the sneakers when it was released in 2004 then here is your chance to do just that.The 2010 Nike Air Diamond Turf  sneaker comes in a white leather upper with an interesting mix of colors. While the perforated toe box remains white, the sneaker is accented by black on the toe panel and on the single wide strap, which comes with a white strap tag complete with a red Nike swoosh.The sneakerâ€â„¢s collar and tongue are also black, accented by red on the piping and the inner lining. The ankle part is also clad in black. What will surprise you is the fat white midsole which sports the embossed huge Nike branding. close

Nike Air Diamond Turf

The original Nike Air Diamond Turf was released in 1993.  It was ahead of its time with the outrageous designs.  They released it again in 2004 and now Nike will do it again.  The plan is to release it in its OG colourway.  What I love about this is the swoosh at the strap.  It looked great on my jeans when I was wearing back in 93.  For those people who wants to reminisce or for the young ones who were toddlers when they released this, you need to wait a bit for it since the rumored release date is Fall 2010. close
