With all of the hype surrounding the new Air Trainer 1 from Nike, this Air Trainer SC in it’s original colorway that is getting ready to be released may have fallen under the radar. A number of sneakerheads will remember these Trainer SC’s from when Bo Jackson wore them in the infamous “Bo Knows� Nike commercials in the 1990’s. This was one of the first shoes that revolutionized the idea of cross training in sports. Nike Air Trainer SC OG

Earlier this week, we spotlighted the Nike Air Trainer II “Tecmo Bo�, and many of you really took a liking towards this shoe. It is always nice to see classic sneakers in exclusive colorways; however, a retro here and there is worth more sometimes. With that said, Nike will be releasing the Air Trainer SC OG in August 2009.If you recall, this particular sneaker was seen in the first “Bo Knows� television advertisements during the early 90s. The colorway is comprised of a predominately white leather base with orange, grey and stealth accents throughout the upper. As stated earlier, the Nike Air Trainer SC OG will hit retailers in August. With all of the original retro re-releases, Nike presents again (already once retroed in 1999) the Air Trainer SC in Bo Jackson’s original colorway.With an upper consisting of white/grey/orange/stealth, the shoe maintains the exact specifics to the original sneaker.Look for the shoe to be released at major retailers again August 2009. close

When Bo Jackson was featured in the 1990’s series of commercials from Nike often referred to as the “Bo Knows� commercials, he was seen wearing this colorway of the Nike Air Trainer SC, Jackson’s signature shoe at the time. This bright colored cross training shoe paved the way for Nike and other sneaker brands to create new cross training shoes that helped athletes train. Now a classic amongst sneakerheads, the Air Trainer SC will be retroed in it’s original colorway in the upcoming weeks.
