Not only will Spike Lee go down as one of the most iconic filmmakers of all time, he’ll be remembered with similar honor and acclaim in the realm of sneakers. Since his days of claiming “it’s gotta be the shoes�, Spike Lee has been as relevant to sneaker culture as anyone else in the biz. We’ve seen the Air Jordan IV Retro and the Jordan Spiz’ike; here’s a look at the Nike Sky Force Mid, the Spike Lee joint, of course. It shares a similar colourway as the original white Jordan Spiz’ike that released in 2006, and has an added touch pm the tongue-tag; Spike’s symbolic spectacles one one side and “Brooklyn� printed behind it. Nike Sky Force Mid – Spike Lee Ed

Spike Lee is one of the most influential filmmakers in the industry today.  He made so many great films that will be his legacy to those who wants to follow his footsteps.  Now, those people will be able to follow him in his footsteps, literally.  Here is a first look at the Nike Sky Force Mid, Spike Lee style.  It has the same colourway as the Jordan Spizâ€â„¢ike that was released last 2006.  Whatâ€â„¢s different is the iconic Spike Lee glasses on one side and “Brooklynâ€� printed on another side.  There is also pebbled leather upper with patent leather.  A polka-dotted red ankle completes the whole package. close

Nike Sky Force Mid ‘Spike Lee’

Nike’s adds a new release to their on-going Spike Lee Pack with this Sky Force Mid. This particular model carries a white/red/green color scheme similar to that used on a pair of Nike Blazers also part of the Spike Lee pack. The upper consists of a combination of white pebbled leather and smooth leather with red patent patent leather around the ankle which includes a white polka-dot pattern. Green accents the Nike Swoosh and black is added to the inner lining, mid-sole stitching and the outsole. The red tongue tags feature a graphic of a pair of sunglasses which has been incorporated onto every model in the Spike Lee Pack. Nike Sky Force Mid – Spike Lee

To continue the Spike Lee line with Nike, the shoe company has released a retro dedicated to the Mr. New York. The Nike Sky Force Mid Spike Lee edition follows a white/lucky green-black-beet colorway, and showcases the iconic glasses tongue tag logo. The full white leather upper is offset by a lucky green swoosh and beet red patent back heel panel. A black outsole matches the laces and inner lining, where “Brooklyn� is placed at the opposite side of the tongue tag. Air Force Friday: Nike Air Force 1

Initially introduced in 1994, the Nike Air Force 1 Mid was a polarizing sneaker created to bridge the gap between the low top Air Force 1 and the uber-high top AF1 high. The shoe has long been a love/hate sneaker, but in 1997, this Air Force 1 turned many heads regardless of what they thought of the mid-top cut.  The shoe’s predominantly white upper had a never before seen toebox and toe cap in the same color.  The shoes stood out even more with the front being a vibrant red reptile skin.If this shoe looks somewhat familiar, there is a good reason for it.
