Air Force Friday: Nike Air Force 1

Initially introduced in 1994, the Nike Air Force 1 Mid was a polarizing sneaker created to bridge the gap between the low top Air Force 1 and the uber-high top AF1 high. The shoe has long been a love/hate sneaker, but in 1997, this Air Force 1 turned many heads regardless of what they thought of the mid-top cut.  The shoe’s predominantly white upper had a never before seen toebox and toe cap in the same color.  The shoes stood out even more with the front being a vibrant red reptile skin.If this shoe looks somewhat familiar, there is a good reason for it. Nike Air Force 1 Mid “Red Toe”

This may be the first time that you will get to see an Air Force 1 with an upper having a different toebox color. The Nike AF1 “Red Toe” has it in an effervescent Red reptile skin while the rest of the upper comes in White. To complement the toebox, the Swoosh and outsole also come in Red.Share This close
