The Nike Cortez is as ubiquitous as the Swoosh itself is and as seen as much love as it has obscurity. In the name of all things cool Nike has decided to give one of their most respected models a flywire facelift. Already known for its lightweight composition the updated version is dubbed the Cortez Fly Motion. In addition to the flywire panels the shoe is also given a Nike Free sole, ultimately revolutionizing the revolutionary runner. Nike has not abandoned its template however and will be dropping a few pairs in the OG nylon with suede or leather accents. Via HighSnobriety close

Nike Sportswear - Fall 2009 Cortez

For those who are not too into the Dunk Hi, the new Fall 2009 Cortez from Nike Sportswear offers fresh colorways for the classic running shoes that was first released in 1972. Most of the shoes in this line are dressed in solid colors in both new and simple, clean colorways such as red accents on white or a brighter lime green on jet black. Some other models feature colorways that are also available in the Fall 09 Dunk Hi, like a red/black/white number with black paint splatter prints on the back white panel. One of the new details are spectral lines projected from the lace eyelet lapels to the bottom of the shoes; another thing to note is a more conspicuous jagged edge treatment on the soles of the shoes. Nike Classic Leather Cortez Sportsw

The iconic Nike Cortez shoe which were first released in 1972 is now offering a new Nike Spotswear Cotrez from the hybrid flywire and nylon styles released earlier this year, they have come up with a simple yet classic looking leather upper. The bulbous upper with the white leather comes in two designs, a white/black Swoosh and a white/red Swoosh. Within the midsole is a small contrasting stripe. Price tag is $85. close
