Nike Air Bakin Retro – Metallic S

Nike Basketball is still going strong, releasing new models as well as new colorways for classic models. The latest of the retro regime is the Nike Air Bakin Retro, which comes in a metallic silver/black-purple colorway. The upper consists of metallic silver leather with purple accents on the laces, heel tab, and mini-swooshes. Black contrasts the vibrant silver on the sole, mesh tongue, and netting beneath the metallic silver upper. This might be a bit bright for the court, but these are sure to be great pickups for any basketball shoe collector. More info on the release later on. close

No confirmation has been made on exactly when they will be released but a few motr Nike Air Bakin colorups will be coming our way in the near future, the sneakers once worn by players such as Kevin Garnett and Tim Hardaway. One of the first colorways which we have been given a preview of is this metallic silver, black and purple colorway which is a new color scheme and not one originally released. It’s not the first time these sneakers have been retroed since their original release in 1997. Nike Air Bakin Retro – Black / Re

We’ve all seen the Maryland House of Hoops exclusive colorway of the Nike Air Bakin, but apparently, the model has also returned in its popular Red/Black OG colorway. A surprise release to most of the sneaker world, the controversial model appears to stay true to its 1997 prototype, still as eye popping as ever with its contrast laces and metallic silver accents. Nike Air Bakin - Original Colorway

Nike originally released the Air Bakin back in 1997 and at the time the shoe caused quite a bit of controversy because of some of the graphics that were featured on the shoe, now nearly 12 years later the shoe makes a return to Nike retail shelves in it’s original colorway minus some of the controversial graphics. The shoe still boasts it’s Red, Yellow, Black, and Silver colorway that was worn by the likes of Tim Hardaway and Mitch Richmond when they still played in the NBA. St!zo x Big Money Nike Air Force 1

I love the gold especially the way it look on these customs. The gold and and brown really fit the design and look great at the same time. Chicago based custom sneaker artist St!zo has collaborated with Nike to create a pair of Air Force Ones for a fan of artist and toy designer, Mad L. An all black pair of Air Force 1 Low were provided for customization, and the finished product is what you see before you. They feature a Big money theme which explains the gold accents, as well as also featuring pieces of the MAD L character collection as well as his tag ghosted throughout the design. close
