The Air Pegasus ‘89 has recently made a nice comeback after returning in a bunch of original colorways, but as much as people love the OG styles, it’s about time that Nike introduced some new color schemes as well. This Air Pegasus ‘89 ND definitely answers the call, giving the classic shoe its boldest look yet. These kicks feature a variety of colors and materials on the upper, using a traditional suede and mesh combo, but introducing some wild color and patterns to the design. The shoe sports a Black base with Glass Blue and Volt highlights and a contrasting White Swoosh. Perhaps the most notable touch is the letter jumble graphic pattern that appears on several sections of the upper. Bless quite literally grew out of the runway under Martin Margiela in ‘97 when the design agency headed by Desiree Heiss and Ines Kaag created fur wigs for Margiela’s models. Quite ironically, the design duo’s work are similar to Margiela’s because both refuse to compromise and be pigeon-holed. Unrestrained creativity runs through both Bless and Margiela’s work. Since then, Bless had been working seamlessly in art, fashion, and everywhere in between. Thus, the labels product are part high fashion, part high function, but all unique. In terms of design, Bless recycles and reuses existing objects and items and adapt them into new products that challenge people’s way of thinking.
