The canvas chosen for the artists is none other than the seed of the K1X roots, a basketball. The 4 Elements 4 Icons 4 Basketballs Collection includes artists Marok (Water) Bill McMullen (Fire), Mode2 (Earth) and Frank151 featuring Stay High 149 (Air).444 units will be available only at select retailers worldwide. He is best known for his work with Lodown Magazine, a European based cultural bible of sorts.Bill McMullen is known for his creations for artists like Beastie Boys, Method Man, and N.E.R.D. K1X x Bill McMullen - “4E” Limi

Basketballs have more so been agent of victory as opposed to agent of art, but basketball lifestyle label K1X changes the game by inviting four artists to create limited edition artist series basketballs. The collection named 4 Elements 4 Icons 4 Basketballs (”4E” for short) dresses basketballs in graphic arts rendered by artists based on four elements of nature– Bill McMullen for fire, Marok for Water, Frank 151 for Air and Mode 2 for Water. The third basketball to be unveiled in this series is the fire version created by San Diego-raised, New York-based artist, Bill McMullen. Bill McMullen is known for his design work with musicians such as Beastie Boys, Method Man, N.E.R.D and DMX. For his basketball, McMullen took full advantage of the spherical shape and his favorite color, orange, to reinterpret the element of fire in graphical terms. The resulting work is a basketball that looks like it is engulfed in flames.
