Although his Airness obviously made a name for himself on the hardwood floor, team Jordan Brand spans more sports realms than just the basketball one. In fact, one of the faces of not only the 2009 World Series Champions New York Yankees, but also the larger Major League Baseball in general, Derek Jeter, is also part of Team Jordan. In spring of 2009 we brought you word of the Jordan Jeter Captain in a black/white/metallic silver colorway that some liked a lot. Now, we’d like to show you the latest installment from Derek Jeter’s signature Jordan Brand sneaker line- the Air Jordan Jeter Prime. Pictured here, this Jeter Prime also comes in a black/white/metallic silver colorway and sports patent leather on the part of the upper that surrounds a mid-panel where the Yankees’ team captain’s jersey number 2 can be found. Jordan Jeter Prime – Black – Wh

With five World Series rings, Derek Jeter is a surefire first ballot Hall of Famer.  He’s one of the great shortstops in baseball history, and it’s only right that Jordan Brand issues him a new signature sneaker each spring.  This year, it’s called the Jordan Jeter Prime, and it looks quite a bit like 2008’s Jeter Clutch.Both have the swooping midguard, but the new Prime extends this patent leather tier around the toe as well.  Just above this strip, at midfoot, you’ll find a ‘2′ made of perforations that reveal a white underlay.  Quite alot of interesting details on these, so be sure to check more photos after the jump and you can pick up one of a limited size run from Marquee Sole.Read the rest of Jordan Jeter Prime – Black – White – Spring 2010© Sneaker News, 2010. |Permalink |2 comments |Add todel.icio.us close

Air Jordan Jeter Prime

While they will definitely appeal to a different type of Jordan fan than the ones that get all worked up over his basketball shoes, it certainly canâ€â„¢t be denied that Jordan Brand knows how to make a functional and stylish pair of shoes for other sports as well. A good example of this is the new Air Jordan Jeter Prime that we are looking at right here. Derek Jeter has been part of the Jordan Brand team for quite a while now, but we think that this is his best signature shoe yet. The shoe looks super comfortable as well as ultra light which will help for those on the spot pivots and acrobatics that Derek is so well known for. The colorway is simple yet efficient and has even managed to work a bit of patent leather into the mix as well. What do you all think of this new installment for Mr. jeter? close

Jordan Jeter Prime

If you recall, Derek Jeter broke the Yankee Stadium hit record in 2008 while wearing the Jordan Jeter Clutch. This year, Jordan Brand has yet another nice-looking sneaker for Derek Jeter’s upcoming season dubbed the Jordan Jeter Prime.Similar to Jeter’s previous signature sneakers, this shoe features a very simple yet stylish color scheme. The predominance of the base is done up in black suede while also containing white contrast stitching. Other features include a black patent leather strip around the entire base, a white midsole, a black outsole and heavy perforations seen on the side panels.
