Pharrell Williams x Bape Croc-Skin

2009 marks the 10th Anniversary of the cartoon show Spongebob Square pants and it seems Skateboard P- Pharrell Williams teamed up with Bape in production of these custom “Spongebob” Bapesta’s. Pharrell recently posted some mysterious pictures of himself wearing these Spongebob Bapestas on his blog. They have a striking resemblance to the 2008 version that  Bathing Ape released. The sneaker sports a sophisticated yellow most likely real crocodile skin theme replacing the previously seen patent leather upper. It has a white midsole, a gum sole, and a picture of SpongeBob’s face by the heel.Though not confirmed for a release, if these do ever make it into any kind of production, you can bet they’ll be limited. Under Armour “Kool Bob Love” 1-

The generous folks at Under Armour cooked up this one-of-one exclusive Boricula BB Prototype for legendary connoisseur Bobbito Garcia. Draped in white patent leather, the shoe features a densely perforated middle and Puerto Rico’s national flag burned onto the heel. On the medial side, “Kool Bob Love” runs diagonally, left to right, along the Proto’s ankle collar in blue stitching. UA’s “Shield” logo is embossed on middle and the coqui, P.R.’s national animal, rides up front in gold. Again, these joints are one-of-one and exclusive to a brother who’s one heckuva ballplayer and proud of his Boricula heritage. They will not be hitting retail! In a clean white perforated leather upper, the shoe is set off by colors touching back on the heritage of Garcia, with the Puerto Rican flag proudly affixed to the heel and blue and red touches throughout. As Under Armour prepares to move in on the basketball sneaker world for 2010, they’ve reached out to one of the most well known sneakerheads in the game, Bobbito Garcia. The Under Armour “Kool Bob Love” Prototype incorporates features that pay tribute to “Kool Bob Love” and his Puerto Rican heritage. The Puerto Rico national flag can be seen on the heel, which coincides with the matching colorway of this 1-of-1. Under Armour - Kool Bob Love Protot

Under Armour is stepping up their basketball shoe game, as we’ve previewed several in the past, and have pictures of a new version for you guys. They’ve reached out to well known sneakerhead, Bobbito Garcia, and have labeled this pair the Under Armour Kool Bob Love Prototypes. The shoes pay homage to Garcia’s Puerto Rican heritage, sporting a white, red, and blue colorway along with the nation flag stitched onto the heel. No word yet as to whether they will be released or if they will remain PE’s, but we will keep you guys updated. close
