De La Soul x UNDRCRWN - Signature C

History of the NBA Draft and Signat

The NBA Draft, which is held today at 7ET, is obviously a special day for many gifted basketball players and fans around the world. It is always entertaining to go back into the draft archives and see which players were chosen or skipped over during that specific year.With that said, our Nice Kicks staff visited the NBA draft archives as well; however, we wanted to find out which specific draft years produced notable signature sneaker lines. A couple of draft years, namely 1984, 1996 and 2003, produced some of our favorite signature sneaker collections to date! The Brooklyn Circus X Fila - One Ye

To celebrate The Brooklyn Circus’s one year anniversary of making it in the industry, the label has geared up quite in the literal sense with Italian sportswear label, Fila, for some celebratory special items. For the capsule release, the items featured are the BKc X Fila Duffle Bag, which is luxurious in black with leather accents and a large leather “B” letter patch. One of our favorite details of the duffel is the black leather luggage tag attached emblazoned with the brand’s logo in gold. The other piece, the BKc X Fila Flyboy Jacket is a great casual nylon jacket in black with pink piping and embroidered logos. Another collaborative casual black jacket features contrasting white based striped side panels for a visually pulled-together effect. The ribbed cuffs and collars come in a fun pink piping, corresponding with the Fila logo on the jacket. These items will be released this Independence Day, Jul 4, at The Brooklyn Circus One Year Anniversary Celebration at its San Francisco store before the brand’s New York store and the rest of the globe gets it. Kobe Bryant in Air Jordans & More -

After completing a 6-year shoe deal with Adidas, Kobe signed a big contract with Nike just days before his Colorado legal troubles went public. As a result, Nike held off for awhile on a signature shoe, and in the meantime, Kobe was usually seen wearing the shoes of the legend that he was frequently accused of trying to imitate. Opinions differ on that debate, but who could blame him for wanting to rock some Air Jordans. As you’ll see after the jump, Kobe sported a bunch of different Air Jordans, mostly during the 2003-2004 season. Some versions are OG colorways, but many have been personalized with Lakers color schemes.In addition to the Jordans, Kobe can also be seen wearing some Air Force 1’s, two different pairs of Allen Iverson’s signature Reebok Answer kicks and the white/purple/gold Converse Weapons that Magic Johnson made legendary during the Showtime Laker days. We’re not positive on the time frame for some of these photos, but it’s safe to assume that most are from the period between leaving Adidas and when his first signature Nike model was introduced.
