AKROE for Sixpack x DC Shoes - Xand

DC Shoes’ Double Label Project has taken on a Tron-like vibe with this latest twin release.  The Sixpack x DC Shoes Xander and Sector 7 are both designed by French artist AKROE.  Both feature side panels with overlapping turquoise and white grid segments.  the Xander has a yellow lining and tongue to accent the grids, while the Sector 7 opts for more turquoise.  Both feature ‘Non Merci’ embroidered on the outer heel (literally: ‘no thank you’).  This ‘I’m over it’ attitude matches the attitude of the gorgeous model seen through translucent outsoles.  These are available, along with the hoodie and lambskin jacket pictured above, at select DC retailers starting today.Read the rest of AKROE for Sixpack x DC Shoes - Xander + Sector 7© Sneaker News, 2009. |Permalink |No comment |Add todel.icio.us close

DC Shoes x Mike Blabac - Blabac Azu

DC Shoes x Mike Blabac Azure Mid

DC Shoes has stepped outside the confines of the sneaker game normalcy by creating the company’s first signature shoe for a non-professional athlete. Famed skate photographer Mike Blabac receives his own version of the DC Azure Mid to celebrate his first book, and his longtime leadership in skate photography, as well as 10 years with DC.The DC Shoes x Mike Blabac Azure Mid is done up in a combination of dark chocolate and oyster colors with orange accents. Premium materials were chosen, including suede and leather, with Blabac’s namesake across the tongue. Here we have the very first shoe from DC that has not been made after a professional athlete, instead is made for the well know photographer Mike Blabac. Here is the DC Shoes x Mike Blabac Azure Mid collaboration, set to release in honor of Mike Blabac’s first book release, as well as his involvement in skate photography and being in DC for 10 years. These Azure Mids bring an interesting colorway, with dark chocolate and orange accents on a white base, all coming together on a premium leather and suede mix.
