Bodega has been behind some pretty damn cool releases over the years so we’ve all been wondering what they were up to for 2010. Looks like we got our answer in the form of this Converse Poorman Weapon.The shoe that started out as simply a dumbed down version of the Converse Weapon wins pretty hard in this limited edition release. The upper is done in waxed canvas with a deerskin lining that can be revealed by rolling down the shoes higher than high top upper. Look for them to drop March 13th at Bodega in a very cool shearling lined collectors case that comes complete with a flask. At a price of $120 surely all 100 pairs will be copped immediately. On March 13th, Bodega will include another collaborative release into its lengthy résumé. This time around, the canvas for creativity is the Converse Poorman Weapon. Earlier in the year, the UNDFTD Poorman Weapon experienced a successful release and now Bodega will offer a new take on the shoe.The Bodega x Converse Poorman Weapon stresses durability as it combines a waxed canvas exterior and a deerskin lining. These materials are functional for all weather and also offer a dose of ironic tension between the silhouette’s name and the luxurious materials that cover it. The shoe’s roll-down construction-unique to this collaboration-allows for versatility as one may wear the shoe as a super high top or mid top.If you are able to grab one of the 100 pairs, you will also receive a shearling-lined case for the shoes and an etched flask (only given to those over 21).  The shoes will retail for $120. Generally featuring a run-down storefront, bodegas are known to be hiding soemthing deeper within. For those who aren’t in the know, deception is the name of the game. It’s no surprise that Boston-based Bodega chose the Converse Poorman Weapon for their next collab; a bodega truly is poor man’s weapon – where else are you going to buy a loose cigarette and a 25-cent neon blue drink in one place?The Bodega x Converse Poorman Weapon is a super high-top that can be rolled down for a different look. The upper is constructed of canvas, while the inner is lined with deerskin leather – a material commonly seen on motorcycle gloves. Deerskin leather showcases astounding strength and resistence to abrasion while regulating temperature (cool during the day, warm at night). Bodega x Converse Poorman Weapon

The Boston-based storefront, Bodega, has a unique collaboration with Converse that is set to release on Saturday, March 13th. Limited to 100 pieces, this sneaker comes with a ballistic nylon case. Sporting a rugged canvas upper, the upper ankle area rolls down to cover the ankle and the laces. As seen in the photo, you can rock the laces wrapped around the folded down section that has the Bodega logo embroidered on the front. The inner of the shoe is lined with deerskin leather to give the shoe a soft, comfortable feel and a cool look in the contrasting gray canvas. Bodega x Converse Poorman Weapon

In our opinion, the collaboration between Bodega and Converse on this new Poorman Weapon is about as perfect as a collaboration can get. Everyone knows that a bodega often offers much more than they appear to at face value and that is exactly what these new Poorman Weapons do as well. We have a feeling that these ones are going to be very popular and will sell out very quickly.These shoes are a super high top, but they can be rolled down for a very different look altogether. The upper is made out of canvas although the inner is lined with deerskin leather, which is normally found on motorcycle gloves, so you know that the inners of these will be extra comfortable. The deerskin leather is also great for temperature regulation as it stays cool during the day and then keeps you warm at night time.
