Graphic Airlines x G999 - Flesh Mes

One of Hong Kong’s graphic designer/street artist duo Graphic Airlines have been making noise with their unique character designs and hands on approach that has been lost through the digital age. Their works can be seen on the streets in the form of wheat paste posters and stickers, and this will be the first time they have made a figure set. The figure set uses Snaptune, a “Statue Snap Kit” series developed by G999. It combines the artistry of statue and fun of building snap kit so one can get the best of both world. Using the Graphic Airlines characters Madame Vee and Meaty as a base, this polyester figure can swap and fit different parts together to create various fun looks. Peanut Butter Wolf x Converse Chuck

To celebrate the release of Peanut Butter Wolf’s new album, 999, he and record label, Stones Throw, will be teaming up with Converse to create a very special edition of the Chuck Taylor All-Star. The shoe features a white canvas upper decorated with the Peanut Butter Wolf and 999 logos. Beginning on September 1st, PBW will be kicking off a 9 city tour that will go 9 nights straight. One pair of the super-limited edition 999 Chucks will be given out in each city that the tour stops in. New Balance 999 Feral Creation Coll

At its original release in 1996, the New Balance 999 was a technologically ground-breaking sneaker. On September 9th (9/9/09), the 999 Feral Creation Collection will release, thanks in part to Japan’s mita and Singapore-based retailer Leftfoot, as New Balance makes an effort to connect with its classic sneaker from the past and bring it forward into the future.The pack includes four total pairs–2 inspired by and designed in conjunction with each store–with a 660-pair limited drop and a general release pair each. Leftfoot drew inspiration from the king of the jungle, the Lion, for its tier zero release. Featuring a mix of materials–suede, nylon, leather and reflective 3m–the Leftfoot 999 uses a grey sole inspired by the concrete jungle, contrasted by a dark grey upper with bright red and purple accents. Leftfoot’s general release 999 draws inspiration from the native-to-Singapore Peacock. New Balance 999 Feral Creation Coll

New Balance continues to accept collaboration from a couple of Asian shops that lead to the production of the 999 Feral Creation Collection. It is Mita and Leftfoot who came up with the idea of the mixed materials applied on each pair of kicks composing the collection. From the concrete jungle and Lion-inspired sneaker, one pair comes in a dark Grey upper with bright Red and Purple accents. The next pair has a native-to-Singapore peacock inspiration with its Black/Grey forefoot and a Teal/Blue heel. The third pair uses the Grey mouse and Black crow theme with a multiple shades of Grey. Finally, the last pair has the simplest form in Black colorway with a faux horse hair accent. September 9th 2009 only rolls around once and in honor of it mita and Leftfoot will be linking with New Balance to drop the seminal 999 Feral Creation Collection. Consisting of 2 pairs designed for each store the 4 pair drop is limited to 660 pairs. Leftfoot’s Lion and Peacock versions alternate cool and hot colorways while mita’s Mouse and Crow keep it considerably dark and feature a very interesting use of materials. These kicks use everything including suede, nylon, leather, 3M and faux hair for a complete look that is pretty stunning. Good luck nabbing a pair of these! Via Nicekicks close
