The cute cartoon characters that are not strictly for kids are everywhere and they have invaded even your sneakers!  The Hello Kitty x Asics GEL-Lyte Speed is proof that your favorite Hello Kitty and her friends are omnipresent. They are indeed present everywhere.The Hello Kitty x Asics GEL-Lyte Speed has the Hello Kitty print all over the upper but it’s not just pink all over, because you get the Hello Kitty shoe in pink and blue color scheme.The Asics logo on the sides is in pink and there’s also a hint of pink on the outsole. This is balanced by the white laces and the blue design on the sides of the sneaker. Finally a shoe to match your drink of choice! Just kidding, and while we are not sure why this one is called the ‘Grey Goose’ we are sure this is a pretty slick design. When hasn’t a tonal grey upper worked anyway? Factor in the hits of 3M laced throughout the heel and all that’s left to discuss is the element that makes this one a clear cut above the rest. Asics has been pretty consistent with the heat as of late and while the brand doesn’t break from the running shoe mold too much you gotta admit they do what they do exceptionally well. Take a look at these Gel-Lyte Speed Mustards. The shoe itself is everything you’d expect from the dedicated running brand but the colorway is where the point is driven home. Asics is having a great year when it comes to good looking shoes. In continuing their Runovation series they are releasing some exclusives in Belgium and Holland only. As if the shoes couldn’t be more exclusive only a few accounts will have the sneakers and when they are gone they are gone. Leaving us Americans to fret or look for friends across the pond. mita x Asics Gel-Lyte SPEED “Trop

Japanese retailer mita has done a countless number of collaborations, including the Mita x Asics Gel Lyte III Purple Haze/Blueberry Pack we showed you last year.These Asics Gel-Lyte Speed’s draw inspiration from a nice day on the beach, sporting bright yellow, blue, red and pink accents, over a grey base, with a hint of suede near the toe. Production on these is limited to 500 total pairs, so getting tropical may be a luxury when they drop September 5th at mita.With summer coming to an end, is it too late in the season to try and feel the island breeze?
