Recently, the genius of world-class illustrators has been called upon to infuse unique style into particular sneaker releases- take Robert Crumb for example. This time around, it’s the adidas Originals team who has worked with French artist Fafi on a pair of Honey Mid’s and Stan Smith’s set to release as part of the Fall/Winter 2009 collection. Both the Honey Mid’s and Stan Smith’s come in a white and tan color-up, with Fafi’s graffiti art decorating the entire upper. Also noteworthy, is the fact that the low-top Stan Smith silhouette replaces shoe laces for a set of three straps that cover the tongue. Adidas Originals has teamed up with world famous artist, Fafi, to create a small collection of graphic shoes for their Fall/Winter 2009 line. With the classic Honey Mid and Stan Smith sneakers as her canvas, the Parisian artist was able to translate her comic book stylings into the uppers of both models, fine tuning the artistry with off-white piping and outsoles. Fafi x adidas Honey Mid + Stan Smit

Fafi is one of Paris’ most celebrated artists so its only right that adidas tap him to inject a little style into two of their more stylish models. The artisan adds a little black and white graphic flavor to the Stan Smith and the Honey. The shoes feature characters from his upcoming comic book which is soon to be released next year.
