NBA Feet: adidas TS Series Hallowee

Aside from the obvious (in some cases unavoidable) similarities in design that all basketball shoes are bound to share, adidas does a good job of pretty much never appearing to bite Nike’s steez, or anyone else’s for that matter.  Their bold use of Three Stripes on the side panels in recent years has been bolstered by dudes who can back it up like Tim Duncan and Kevin Garnett. Count Tim-may amongst the group of adi-sponsored ballers who rocked a crazy Halloween edition of the adidas TS Commander this past weekend.  Much like the Nike Blazer released with lenticular holigram tarsals, these take the white-on-black stripe motif to its logical extreme, revealing white ‘bones’ beneath the black upper.  Peep Duncan’s Commanders with the X-Ray look, along with up-and-coming adidas NBA guys like Deshawn Stephensen (not giving up a game winner, for once), Aaron Afflalo and Brooke Lopez after the jump.  via KenluRead the rest of NBA Feet: adidas TS Series Halloween Edition© Sneaker News, 2009. |Permalink |No comment |Add todel.icio.us close

adidas Concord Mid “NBA All Starâ

It may be Nike who’s been doing “East vs. West� for the last year, but adidas taking the concept even more literally, as this pack of Concord Mids represents the NBA All-Star Game conference battle.For the West, a black leather upper is used. red leather accents are used on the 3 Stripes and strap, as well as the outsole and liner. 3-color laces are also used. For the East, white leather is used for the upper, with accents in blue everywhere red is used on the other pair. On both pairs gold is used on the heel labels as well as the metal tab on the strap. adidas Concord Mid – NBA All-Star

Back from the early 80â€â„¢s we bring you the adidas Concord Mid from the adidas Spring 2010 collection. The mid-top silouhette with the ankle strap give this these Concord Mids a real retro look. The two featured colorways were created to represent the Eastern and Western conferences of the NBA. The uppers consist of smooth and perforated leather, as well as some great color and texture accents on the strap and 3 stripes. Both pairs also come with tri-colored laces and 2010 printed on the back of the heel. adidas Concord Mid NBA All-Star 201

Last year Adidas has given us many new sneakers in new colorways and materials and most sneaker heads felt satisfied with their entire 2009 Collection, but I guess not Adidas. It looks like they’ve stepped up their game this year and they’ve have already re-released a lot of old sneakers, including these Adidas Concord Mid. The sneaker was first released back in 1983 and here we see it again in 2010. Just an awesome way for Adidas to start off their new years.The Concord Mid will be a part of the NBA All-Star 2010 Pack, which if you can notice represents the Eastern and Western conference. The Concord is presented to us in two different colorways, light or dark, East or West, it’s your decision. One sneaker comes in a white upper and is accented with blue, while the other features a black upper, along with red accents. Finishing off the sneaker Adidas places a strap on the ankle. adidas Concord Mid NBA All Star Pac

Adidas is on a basketball homage streak. While they are doing some fantastic things with the Phantom II Mid as it relates to teams they are now dropping two pair of Concord Mid’s as an NBA All Star Pack.The shoes hold it down for the East and West in two very clean color ways. For the West the strapped upper sports red/black while the East finds the shoe in purple/white. The silhouette closely resembles a Top Ten with its heavily perforated upper and rimmed collar and both shoes host golden accents on 2 eyelets, the strap and the heel.
