Adidas ZX 8000 Retro - A Detailed L

Here we feature a retroed version of the original colorway in the Adidas ZX 8000. Fanatics will be happy to know that they are slated to return first to the Berlin O-Store next month in limited numbers and then as a general release across Europe in Spring 2010. They sport a nice aqua blue / yellow colorway which is bound to catch the attention of fanatics. close

Around this time last year, adidas unleashed its memorable, aZX Project Q-Y that many sneaker enthusiasts took a liking to. It features seven stylish colorways of the ZX 8000 model. While not releasing as many this year, adidas has decided to bring back the original colorway of the ZX 8000 during the spring of 2010.It possesses a predominately bright blue base with standout, yellow details on the adidas stripe logo (side panel), the toe area and inner lining. In addition, purple accents are seen on the side panels and tongue as well. As a branding tactic, the model name ZX 8000 is imprinted in black just below the collar. As for the release info, this retro will be a Europe-only release for 2010; yet, 50 pairs will be at select retailers in Berlin this November. Adidas ZX 8000 Preview

If you recall, this original colorway of the Adidas ZX 8000 was a part of our 15 Sneakers Weâ€â„¢re Most Thankful For Returning in ‘09. It has been stated that this classic will officially return in 2010; however, it has shown up at select retailers, such as End, for pre-order.Besides the second-to-none colorway this ZX 8000 possesses, it also owns a very high-tech makeup. Its suede/patent leather base is complimented with a torsion bar cushioning, a soft cell sole and a great heel structure support system. Adidas will also unleash a purple and powder grey ZX 8000 (shown here) along with its original colorway. Both are available now for pre-order at End. adidas Originals x Star Wars - ZX 8

The wrath of Darth has struck a galaxy not so far away (well, actually rather close to home) and is now charging at your with super laser focus via adidas Originals. As previously reported, the collaboration between adidas Originals and Star Wars is a part of the former’s Spring/Summer 2010 collection. While the collection is anticipated to drop come January 2010, the ZX 8000 Darth Vader model is already up for grabs online at Super Fly Deluxe. The classic adidas ZX8000 running shoe is dressed in Darth Vader inspired red and blacks for inter-galactic conquests. The upper is made from black leather and given retro-futuristic touch with a puffed up quilted toe box and tongue, thrown in with special tongue tag, Star Wars lace jewel and red accents. Unlike your regular kicks, these Darth Vader ZX 8000 come in a cool toy packaging, tapping into your inner childhood/teenage fantasies.
