The adidas Phantom II NBA Edition has now made its way through a number of large-market NBA cities like the Big Apple, Chi-Town, Philly, and Miami. We can now add Boston to that list of Eastern Conference teams, and like the other pairs, the Boston Celtics adidas Phantom II will be sold at a regional footwear retailer; in this case, Cambridge, MA based Concepts. This Beantown-inspired pair is covered entirely by Celtic green with a white trim, with the Boston team logo on the tongue. The N.B.A. x adidas 6 city tour continues with this Boston Celtics model in Celtic green. In one of the most storied franchises in the league, this color carries with it a rich heritage of dynasties, Hall-of-Famers, and even an intricate parquet floor. This model, like the NY Knicks x Packer Shoes model we showed you recently, will only be available to one store in the Boston area, Concepts. Only 6 cities are receiving pairs, and so far they are the aforementioned New York, Chicago, Miami, and Philadelphia. The pairs in each city follow the same format: a solid colored upper with the team logo an the tongue and name on the heel. Classics Revisited: A Bathing Ape x

In 2003, sneaker culture was maturing along with the growth of sneaker websites. Information and news on the latest in sneakers were hard to come by, with just a small handful of sources. Among them were Being Hunted, Crooked Tongues, RTHQ, Fatlace, Fixins and Niketalk. Sneaker boutiques didn’t have blogs and most didn’t even have a website, so most sneakerheads turned to Niketalk to find and share news. LeBron James was set to play his first game in November of that year, sneaker releases were generally unannounced, collaborations were rare, Mark Smith started lasering images onto sneakers, and a little known site called Freshness slowly infiltrated New York and the rest of the world covering sneakers, toys and streetwear.That same year, A Bathing Ape and adidas did a surprising collaboration together and released two styles in three colorways each and limited them to 500 pairs each. Reggie Bush x adidas adiZero 2 “H

Just days before the biggest football game of Reggie Bush’s career, the young Saints player is releasing a special adidas shoe to help the people of Haiti. Using the adiZero 2 as a base, two special colorways have been designed and will be sold starting today until the 11th of February.A blue and red color-up has been put together, drawing inspiration directly from the Haitian flag. The other shoe dons a yellow and black look. Portions of each shoe sold will benefit Mercy Corps. Following the Super Bowl, Bush will be auctioning game-worn items to benefit the same cause. Both pairs are only available through miadidas.com. Reggie Bush x adidas adiZero Ace 2
